  26. GoldWave is a sound editor, player, recorder, and converter
  27. for Windows 95/NT.

  77. 2.0 Installation, Uninstall

  80. 2.1) Installation
  81.  
  82. Create a "goldwave" folder and unzip or copy all files
  83. into that folder.  Create a short cut to "goldwave.exe".
  84.  
  85. Search your system for the file BWCC32.DLL.  If you find any
  86. copies, check the date.  If the BWCC32.DLL file included with
  87. GoldWave is newer, replace all old copies with the one
  88. included with GoldWave.  Copy BWCC32.DLL to the Windows\System
  89. (or Win95\system or Winnt\System) folder if it is not
  90. there already.  You should restart Windows to remove any old
  91. copies from memory.  Note that BWCC.DLL (the 16-bit version)
  92. may be required by 16-bit programs, so it should not be
  93. removed from your system.

  96. 2.2) Uninstall
  97.  
  98. Delete the following files from your Windows folder:
  99.     express.eqx
  100.     gwpreset.ini
  101.     goldwave.ini
  102. Other files are listed in section 4.0.

  104. Generally, BWCC32.DLL should not be deleted from the 
  105. Windows\System folder as it may be required by other
  106. applications.

  110. 3.0 Important Additional Notes
  111. --------------------------------------------------------------

  113. 3.1) Windows 95 or Windows NT 3.51 or later is required to
  114. run this version.  A Pentium processor is recommended.
  115.  
  116. 3.2) GoldWave includes a recent version of BWCC32.DLL
  117. from Borland.  GoldWave checks for this version of BWCC32.DLL
  118. (or a newer one).  If you get an error message, you should
  119. delete any older copies of BWCC32.DLL or replace them with the
  120. one included with GoldWave.  You may have to restart Windows
  121. to remove the older BWCC32.DLL from memory.  Only one copy of
  122. BWCC32.DLL is needed and should be kept in the Windows system
  123. folder.  Note that BWCC.DLL (the 16-bit version) should
  124. not be removed from your system.

  126. 3.3) In order to get the scope working correctly, you might
  127. have to change the positioning method in the Device Controls
  128. Setup.

  130. 3.4) If GoldWave crashes during playback or recording,
  131. contact your sound card manufacturer to obtain an updated
  132. driver.  Some drivers are available from the World Wide Web.
